First, we did the high jump. Sorienty, Jasmine, Nia, Molly and I all ran and did the scissors jump over the plastic white pole, held up by two gray metal poles. When we landed on the blue, shiny mat, it was warm like a bath. I landed like a chair that had just been dumped down on the mat.
Next, we did the long jump. We all had to line up then we had to run up to a blue, red and green striped soft mat. We all went one at a time. There was soft sand waiting to have it mucked up when I jumped. There was a tape measure there to record where we jump. Miss Ashton wrote it down on a piece of paper on the desk, while my mum was helping to rake it up. I came fifth. "Ya!" I said to myself and to my mum Kerry. I thought to myself, "Good on you, Brodee!"
Finally, we did the shot put. I was the tenth one to do it. With a big push, the heavy blue shot put glided through the air. Hayden's mum told Mrs Kerr-Bell the score. We got to have a look at our score. My score was five point four. I was proud of myself. I came second and Sorenity came first. I said to myself, "Ya!" with a big smile on my face.
It was a fun day, but I was very tired when I got home from school that afternoon.
