Christmas at the Point

On Saturday, at the Point, I was walking along on the soaking wet grass.  Suddenly, there was a store with face painting, so I asked, "How much does it cost?"
The lady said it was free! so I went up and said, "Can I have a snake?"
I did not know what it was going to turn out like so she showed me in the mirror. I was amazed. The colours were green, black and red.
I sang in the choir on the stage. It sounded smooth.

The Fun Athletics Day

When I was  nine  years old, our school had an Athletics Day. We all competed in lots of events, like High Jump, Long Jump, Vortex, Shot Put, Discus and Sprints.

First, we did the high jump. Sorienty, Jasmine, Nia, Molly and I all ran and did the scissors jump over the plastic white pole, held up by two gray metal poles. When we landed on the blue, shiny mat, it was warm like a bath. I landed like a chair that had just been dumped down on the mat.
Next, we did the long jump. We all had to line up then we had to run up to a blue, red and green striped soft mat. We all went one at a time. There was soft sand waiting to have it mucked up when I jumped. There was a tape measure there to record where we jump. Miss Ashton wrote it down on a piece  of paper on the desk, while my mum was helping to rake it up. I came fifth. "Ya!" I said to myself and to my mum Kerry. I thought to myself, "Good on you, Brodee!"
Finally, we did the shot put. I was the tenth one to do it. With a big push, the heavy blue shot put glided through the air. Hayden's mum told Mrs Kerr-Bell the score. We got to have a look  at our score. My score was five point four. I was proud of myself. I came second and Sorenity came first. I said to myself, "Ya!" with a big smile on my face.
It was a fun day, but I was very tired when I got home from school that afternoon.

The Big Scrap

It is Pet Day today.
“I am bringing my cat that has a brown patch on it,” said Eve. "She is called Emmy and she is the fluffiest cat you have ever seen."
“I am going to bring by dog, too,” said Lucy. "His name is Dane and he is the funniest dog and cleverest because he can run and jump and climb obstacle courses that children do."
“I am going to bring my fish, too,” said Ross. "His name is Boyden and he is the most adorable fish you have ever seen."
When they all arrived, everyone lined up on the courts with their pets. Ross and Lucy were standing by each other. Emmy kept on meowing and Dane kept on barking then all the other pets started going, "Woof, woof!" and all the cats were jumping over the dogs. Dane caught a cat jumping over him. He ran after it but the cat jumped onto a wooden bench, then onto a big fat branch. While Eve was trying to calm Dane down, she was thinking of a good idea. She told the teacher, then the teacher told all the kids to grab their pets.
Eve put some name tags on fences with some rope for the dogs and one for the cats on the other side.
Eve got an award for thinking well.

King Arthur's Castle

Mrs Death read us the story of King Arthur, then we used three different pieces of paper and combined them to show what his castle looked like.

The Wizard of Oz

Tomorrow, I am in the school production, The Wizard of Oz. I'm a Tin girl and I am in the choir.I dance on stage with a buddy. I dance side to side and back and forward and I do a twirl at the end.
I like going on stage and performing to an audience because I like showing my face to everyone.
I like when Dorothy and Toto are taken away from Kansas in a cyclone because the house goes round and round.
I feel nervous going on stage at the beginning because there are a lot of people watching me, but I get used to it when I am on-stage.
